Perry County Inmate Search Links
The Perry County Sheriff's Office links the public to an inmate list through Public Safety Cloud/JailTracker, and research also located a visible ISOMS Current Inmates endpoint. The ISOMS list is the clearest text-visible roster source found. It shows alphabet filters, pagination, and current inmate entries. The JailTracker shell loaded as a Blazor app and showed an error during text inspection, so users should keep the ISOMS endpoint and the phone fallback ready.
The county jail roster is a current-custody tool. It is not a full criminal-history report, a court docket, or a state prison database. Someone who has bonded out may leave the current list. Someone sentenced to IDOC may stop appearing on the county jail roster and begin appearing in the Indiana DOC offender locator. A federal or immigration transfer can move the search to BOP or ICE.
Use the Perry County Roster
The visible roster works more like a current-inmates list than a blank search form. Start by browsing the alphabet filter for the person's last name. If the sheriff-linked roster shell fails to load, use the ISOMS current-inmates endpoint or call the Perry County Sheriff's Office and Detention Center at 812-547-2441. The bond page specifically tells users to call that number if they do not know the booking number needed for GovPayNow.
- Open the sheriff inmate-list link or the ISOMS Current Inmates page.
- Select the first letter of the last name, or browse all entries if spelling is uncertain.
- Compare age, race/sex, city, intake date, arresting agency, charges, and bond before assuming a match.
- Call the jail when the roster is down, the name is common, a booking number is missing, or bond status is unclear.
- Move to MyCase, IDOC, SAVIN, BOP, or ICE when the person is not in current Perry County jail custody.
Perry County Roster Search Fields
The ISOMS current-inmates page displays a structured list and filter controls. It does not publish a refresh schedule, and it did not show full date of birth, housing unit, court date, or a booking number in the text sample. The Public Safety Cloud/JailTracker app appears to support name search and offender-profile viewing, but the Perry-specific public interface could not be fully confirmed because of the loading error.
| Field Label | Type | Required | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| All | Alphabet filter | Optional | Shows the full current-inmate list. |
| A-Z letters | Filter links | Optional | Filters visible entries by surname initial. |
| Page controls | Navigation links | Optional | First, previous, next, and last style controls were observed. |
| Name | Entry heading | Shown in result | Uppercase, usually surname first. |
| Charge and bond | Display rows | Shown when entered | Charges and bond amounts display in paired rows. |
The official sheriff website screenshot in the manifest shows the detention-center links that lead users into the roster and related jail services.
The quick-link layout matters because roster, bond, visits, phone time, and commissary are separate tasks, even when they involve the same inmate record.
Perry County Inmate Profile Fields
A current Perry County inmate record is custody-intake oriented. The visible list can show who was received, when the person was received, which agency made the arrest or custody entry, and which charge or hold rows are tied to bond. It should be read as a jail record, not as a final court judgment.
| Field | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| Name | Public roster name, shown in uppercase. |
| Age | Age in years, useful for distinguishing similar names. |
| Class | Roster classification or status field; the sheriff source did not define it. |
| Race/Sex | Combined demographic code such as W/F or B/M. |
| Intake Date | Date and time booked or received into custody. |
| City | City associated with the entry, not confirmed as home city. |
| Arrested By Department | Agency responsible for arrest or custody intake. |
| Release Date | Release date if displayed; blank on many current entries. |
| Charge | Booking or hold description, not necessarily final prosecutor-filed charge. |
| Bond | Amount displayed beside the charge, subject to court or jail confirmation. |
Perry County Roster No Results
A no-result screen is not proof that a person was never arrested. The name may be spelled differently, the person may have bonded out, the booking may not yet be posted, or the person may be in court, transport, hospital, another county, state prison, federal custody, or immigration detention. The Perry County list is titled Current Inmates, so it should not be treated as a permanent archive of every prior booking.
Older booking details, specific discharge or transfer times, and booking-photo requests are better handled through a focused Indiana APRA request to the sheriff or county office. A strong request names the person, approximate intake date, facility, record type, and contact method. Indiana law requires reasonable particularity, so a precise request has a better chance of being routed correctly.
Perry County Custody Lookup Types
Use the record system that matches the custody stage. Perry County has a state prison inside county lines, but Branchville is still an IDOC prison. Its residents are sentenced state prisoners assigned by IDOC, not local jail inmates held by the sheriff.
| Custody Type | Where to Look | What It Shows |
|---|---|---|
| Pretrial or local jail custody | Perry County current-inmates roster | Intake fields, charges, bond, arresting agency. |
| State prison sentence | IDOC offender locator | DOC number, facility, sentence rows, release dates. |
| Custody notification | Indiana SAVIN or VINELink | Notification and custody-status alerts where available. |
| Federal custody | BOP inmate locator | Federal register number, location, release date fields. |
| Immigration detention | ICE Online Detainee Locator | ICE detention lookup by A-number or exact biographical data. |
Perry County Jail Facilities
The main local custody location is the Perry County Detention Center at the sheriff's Herrman Street campus. Branchville Correctional Facility is included in this site because it is a major detention facility in Perry County, but it serves a different state-prison population. A person can move from the county jail to IDOC after sentencing, so both locations matter to custody searches.

Perry County Booking Records
Booking begins after an arrest, warrant service, court commitment, or sentence. Jail staff record identity information, custody authority, intake time, property, medical screening, charges, holds, and bond fields. Indiana jail standards require booking numbers, intake date and time, name and aliases, last known address, commitment authority, and population movement information for admissions, transfers, and releases.
Weekender intake is one of the most specific local procedures found. A person ordered to serve weekends must bring the judgment order, pay fees in cash at booking, call 812-547-2441 ext. 2 before arrival to confirm room, park in the front lot or be dropped off, and check in with the control officer through the booking-window phone. Medication must be in current original prescription containers and may be limited by the jail's medical physician.
Perry County Bond Records
Bond information appears in both jail and court contexts. The jail roster may show bond beside a charge, while MyCase may show bond events or release conditions after a court case begins. Perry County's bond page says the court sets the schedule and the jail cannot change the amount unless directed by the judge. A zero bond row on the roster should be checked by phone before anyone assumes the person can leave for no payment.
| Payment Route | Details |
|---|---|
| In person | Cash with exact change or major credit, debit, or prepaid card at the jail lobby or clerk's office. |
| Online | GovPayNow with arrestee name, booking number, PLC 6903 or 6904, and bond amount. |
| Phone | GovPay at 1-877-392-2455 with the same booking and PLC information. |
| Property bond | Not handled at the Detention Center; the sheriff page says to contact an attorney. |
Perry County Inmate Visitation
Regular Perry County Detention Center visitation is by video, either from lobby stations or remotely through Combined Public Communications and InmateSales. The sheriff's visitation page lists lobby video visits Monday through Saturday, Sunday no visitation, and remote visits daily, with times subject to facility operations and the scheduling site's availability. Visitors should schedule after confirming the person is still in custody.
| Visit Type | Schedule / Access | Fee or Limit |
|---|---|---|

| Visitor room limit | Two visitors per inmate at one time, including children | No cell phones or recording devices. |
Perry County Mail and Money
Personal mail and legal mail use different addresses. Ordinary non-legal friends and family mail is routed through a Highland Heights, Kentucky scanning address. Legal mail and money orders use the Tell City jail address. Mail must include the inmate name, inmate ID, and a return address, and it must meet scanning limits. Rule-breaking mail may be destroyed rather than returned.
| Service | Provider / Address | Important Detail |
|---|---|---|
| Standard mail | Perry County Jail, IN, PO Box 76550, Highland Heights, KY 41076 | Use inmate name and inmate ID. |
| Legal mail / money order | 2211 Herrman Street, Tell City, IN 47586 | Do not send legal mail to the scan center. |
| Commissary kiosk | Stellar kiosk in jail lobby | Available 24/7 with a $2 fee. |
| Online commissary | JailATM | Use when a lobby deposit is not possible. |
